Shades of Red

Anger died that day
In the red waters of yesterday
The sea of red coloured my tones
To call more red toned words

My blood dripped
On carmine pedestals
Near carmine kings
Who clad themselves
In royal red robes
Crimson

The flames of lust
Fell like vermilion on cardinals
The red hot sun of Tuscany
Roses and wine of Italy
