Out of Town

based on Emily Dickinson’s poem

 

The morns are meeker than they were-

 

The morns

Meeker they were

In temperament

Brown berry’s cheek

She is plumper, the rose

 

Going out of town

A nut man wears a gayer scarf, a scarlet gown

Let I seem old-fashioned

He needs not put another trinket on
