Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me;
Lord, be my help.
Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek,
that I live among the tents of Kedar!
Is it not you, God,
you have now rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?
But as for me,
I am poor and needy;
come quickly to me,
O God.
You are my help and deliverer;
Lord,
do not delay.
Our days come to seventy years or eighty,
if our strength endures:
yet the best of them are trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass,
and we fly away.
I wait for the Lord,
my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
For the Lord is good
and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help.
I do not conceal your love and faithfulness
from the great assembly.
May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift our banners in the name of our God
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
