Quote of the Day: Believe and Receive

As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

— Romans 4:17 NIV

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

— Mark 11:24 NIV

The Deep Mark

Love is like a gentle  hand
Drawing hearts in the sand
It is like a mother’s tears
Crying for a lost child’s years
It is like a warm hug
Where you sleep and feel safe
It is like the rush
A mighty surge of life
Love is like a blow torch
Melting metal hearts
It is like lightning
Scorching the skin
Love is not a feeling of sadness or happiness
Of simple laughter or forgiveness
Love is like life itself, complicated
It comes in many shapes and sizes
Many more of suffering and demises
Others more lingering
Others quick as fireflies blinking in and out
Some a blessing
Some a curse
